Even during the great events of the Passover, the Lord stopped everything to proclaim His calendar. And His calendar was to begin with the month of Nisan. *Exodus 12:1-2 Now the LORD said to Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, This month is the beginning of months for you, it shall be the first month of your year.
Though Nisan is the first month, it is not the month of the New Year (Rosh HaShanah), which is in Tishrei, the 7th month. We are used to January our first month, being the month of the New Year, but not so on God's calendar. So the question arises... Why is Nisan the first month? What does it represent?
