KISLEV IS KNOWN AS A MONTH OF THE DARKNESS OF WINTER, BUT AS BELIEVERS IN A WORLD THAT IS IN THE END TIMES, WE CAN BE LIGHT.

*Isaiah 45:1-3 'Thus says the Lord to His anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have held—to subdue nations before him and loose the armor of kings, to open before him the double doors, so that the gates will not be shut: 'I will go before you and make the crooked places straight; I will break in pieces the gates of bronze and cut the bars of iron. I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places, that you may know that I, the Lord, who call you by your name, am the God of Israel'. As the days continue to role by, the focus of the world will turn more and more to the nation of Israel. Unfortunately, most of the focus we see now is negative. We, as believers have such as important role to play in these times. We can pray for Israel and express our love and support for Israel and for the people of Israel. The Lord spoke the promises in the Isaiah verses above, and now it is our honor to pray these promises over Israel and the Jewish people. We can make people aware of the truth about the Land, and let it be known that it will always belong to the Jewish people. We can speak up and say how loving and kind the Jewish people are and how amazingly productive they have made the Land, and remind people that when they returned to Israel, the Land was a barren wasteland. Their industriousness and endless labor has made it prosperous on all levels. We can all pray the following prayer for the soldiers who fight the wars of Israel: He Who blessed our forefathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob — may He bless the fighters of the Israel Defense Forces, who stand guard over our land and the cities of our God, from the border of the Lebanon to the desert of Egypt, and from the Great Sea unto the approach of the Aravah, on the land, in the air, and on the sea. May the Almighty cause the enemies who rise up against us to be struck down before them. May the Holy One, Blessed is He, preserve and rescue our fighters from every trouble and distress and from every plague and illness, and may He send blessing and success in their every endeavor. May He lead our enemies under our soldiers' sway and may He grant them salvation and crown them with victory. And may there be fulfilled for them the verse: For it is the Lord your God, Who goes with you to battle your enemies for you to save you.
